Hi, I'm Becky, a thirty something single mum to two children aged 10 and 2. I am also a mature student studying for a BA in English and Creative Writing. Before returning to education, I worked as a Registered Veterinary Nurse for seventeen years. We live with our four cats and hamster in the West Midlands.

I'm very passionate about reading and writing and encouraging my children to enjoy reading and literature. I believe that instilling a love of books in children from an early age is one of the greatest things you can do for your child as a parent, therefore there will be a lot of literature related posts on my blog. Slimming World plays a big part in my life and you will find posts detailing the ups and downs of being a Slimming World member. Rambling on about life in general is something else I like to do, both in regards to parenting and being a mature student. I love reviewing books and lifestyle products! As my former profession suggests, I'm also a huge animal lover.
